Reliable. Trustworthy. Experienced. Versatile.
We're a team of aviation professionals made up of AME's, QA Auditors, SMS Lead Investigators, Maintenance Program Managers and Technical Records Managers. During our time on salary with airlines, we worked in every facet of aviation maintenance management. Combined, we have 25 years experience in the industry. We had an urge to see what we could make of it on our own, so we took our skills and started this company.
What we bring to the table is real world industry experience paired with short lead times, thanks to our strong team and independent operation. We can't stand overdue assignments, misinterpreted regulations, gaps in safety or compliance, or AOG aircraft. It's just in our nature, and that's why we're good at what we do.
If you're reading this, you might be looking for some extra horsepower to finally cross off a few "wish list" projects. Or there's a new big change that's coming up (department restructure, new aircraft purchase, new aircraft type, lost some staff members) and you just don't have the bandwidth. Maybe you're looking for that second set of eyes to catch what you might be missing, or that company to outsource some of your daily workload to.
Well, you've found us. You've come to the right place.
We started this company because we wanted the freedom to use the skills we gained in aviation the way we feel they should be applied. To do good work, pay the bills, and build human connections in the aviation industry the way that we know they should be. Working relationships built on trust, decency, and a heart-first approach to business. One of my first true mentors gave me my start in aviation management. He preached and modelled the mindset: "treat the place like you own it". The leaps and bounds a company can make when it's employees feel this, believe it - and act it out - is stunning. Now out in the world on our own, we want to bring this mindset into the aviation service industry. We want to create an agency of skilled aviation professionals for hire. We want to treat you like family, and treat your business and your work like its our own.
Bernard Malamud said "the purpose of freedom is to create it for others". We're in the business of freedom. For ourselves, and for you. We do this work independently so that we can choose how we spend our time and how we treat you. And by supporting you, we free up your time to do what's most important to move your business forward.
We're trained and experienced QA auditors, ready to add horsepower to your internal audit program, provide gap analysis against current applicable regulations, or assist in regulatory review and program design to ensure you're covering all the right areas.
We're trained and experienced in SMS investigations, risk assessments, and root cause analysis. Ready to take on events/reports from start to finish and provide you with a consistent, quality result as per your company policy and industry standards.
We have licensed endorsed AME's on our team who can provide physical aircraft inspections to monitor the health of your maintenance program or give you peace of mind that there is nothing to find when your regulator comes for their site visit.
We've built large aircraft maintenance programs from the ground up. We know how to research and implement a program that covers all of your requirements across specified data, approved data, and local regulatory requirements. We can build you a new program, or audit to ensure yours is complete.
We specialize in regulatory approved document control, amendments and submissions. MPM/MCM/MSA, etc. We can also provide long term oversight and manage revisions to the OEM manuals that affect your maintenance program, ensuring it's always up to date with the latest data.
We've created and run technical records departments, made transitions to digital recordkeeping and received Transport Canada approval for our policies and procedures. We can help you with design, managing daily workload, or auditing your output.
Inspections of compliance records during the pre-buy phase. Full transfer of all compliance records into your maintenance tracking system. We've spent a ton of time in this area. With multiple team members on hand to dedicate full time, we can turn around a large project in a relatively short time. So far we've had experience in the following types and their respective engine, propeller and landing gear systems:
Aerospatiale ATR42-300, ATR72-202 and 212A
DeHavilland Dash 8-200 and -300
Cessna 426B
King Air 200
Bell 407
Bell 206L
Eurocopter AS350B2 and B3
Eurocopter AS332 Super Puma
Our compensation and reputation is dependent on results. If we don't meet the terms agreed upon, you don't pay. If we weren't worth it, people wouldn't keep hiring us. That's life as a contractor in aviation, there's nowhere to hide.
Liquidity. You can terminate an engagement with us much simpler than firing an employee. If the arrangement isn't working for you, we can part ways.
Commitment flexibility. You don't have to engage with us long term. We can offer half time, quarter time, retainer contracts, you name it.
We already have hands on experience. No training, no on-boarding, no babysitting. You're hiring people who run their own company and manage multiple projects across multiple companies at once. We're great with time and project management.
We're an immediate solution. We answer phone calls day-of, we answer emails within a day, and if it's a desperate situation, at least one of us will make time to support you as early as tomorrow.
Our vacation time never affects our agreed upon project schedule. You don't pay us for lunch breaks or sick days. Also we don't take them. When you pay for an hour of work, you get an hour.
We start at base hourly and daily rates, dependent on which team members are required. The hourly or daily rate reflects the accepted contractor equivalent to the salary position that would meet your needs. Salary rate plus benefits etc, plus a percentage for overhead costs. If its a time sensitive request or we're already booked up, we consider what the equivalent OT rate would be for you to accomplish the work in-house.
For bigger projects we aim for a fixed price quote so that you aren't surprised by the cost at the end of the job.
Our pricing philosophy is anchored in value creation. What is this project worth to you? What costs does it save you, what revenue does it gain you, and what has it been costing you to manage it the way you have previously? We strongly believe that if we price this way, everyone wins. We have to put in the hard work and be good at what we do to earn that value, and you get a solution with a justifiable investment cost. We get paid for being good at solving your problem. Our mission in pricing is to be your best option across the board, not your cheapest. The race to the bottom puts quality second to price, and we don't do that.
Given the nature of aviation, we always do our best to give priority to the "most AOG" situation on the table at the moment, something that we think rings true for all of us in this industry. With that in mind, our pricing fluctuates based on demand and availability. If we're sitting around waiting for the next job, we can work out a deal. If you need something done yesterday and we're already in the middle of something big, we can divert resources but it may cost more. If you can guarantee that you'll keep us busy for longer, helping us ride out the slow seasons, we can work out a deal. You get the idea.
We want you to feel like signing that invoice we send you is a win at the end of the day. It's always better when people spend money happily, that's the way we want to keep it.
